About

By Veterans.
For Veterans.

Warrior Advocates was founded by Coast Guard and Army National Guard veteran Eric Ocasio. Like many veterans transitioning out of service, Eric had to navigate the VA disability system on his own. The process was confusing and frustrating, so he dug in, spending countless hours learning how the system works and successfully filing his own claims.

Over time, other veterans began asking for help. Eric shared what he had learned and helped them move their claims forward and secure the benefits they had earned. As more veterans reached out, it became clear that too many were fighting the system alone. Warrior Advocates was created to change that—to make sure no veteran has to navigate the VA process without someone in their corner.

Our Mission

Our Story

Many veterans spend months to years navigating the
VA's disability process, often times being stuck between ineffective VSO's and claim shark companies that charge unfairly high fees. We knew there had to be a better way. That's why we started Warrior Advocates.

Getting Started

To any veteran out there, whether you’re new to the process or you’re appealing your third claim, you don’t have to tackle this challenge alone.

From Our Founder

When the uniform comes off, the challenges don’t always end—especially when you’re dealing with seen and unseen injuries. Sure, I knew I’d probably hear ringing in my ears and ache more than the average person my age. But what I didn’t know was how hard it would be to get the support I needed from the VA when the time came. And the more veterans I talked to, the more I realized I wasn’t alone.

Many veterans spend weeks to months navigating the VA’s benefit process - getting discouraged and giving up at times. Even the VA recognizes how complex its process can be. And once a claim is filed, there’s a lot of waiting involved.

And when veterans finally reach out for help, they are often met with misleading advice, confusing information, or worse, predatory actors who pressure for fees rather than worry about truly helping. As the VA rightfully warns, claim sharks are waiting to prey on the frustration of our service men and women, offering assistance that seems too good to be true, because as many veterans have unfortunately discovered, it often is.

We knew there had to be a better way. That’s why we started Warrior Advocates. Our goal is simple: to make sure veterans have clear, expert guidance that helps them to understand the process and move forward with confidence. We hold ourselves to the highest standards, with transparent, fully compliant practices and up-to-date guidance because our integrity matters as much as your outcome.

I know firsthand how overwhelming this process can feel. And I don’t want another veteran to feel stuck, confused, or alone, wondering where to turn. To any veteran out there – whether you’re new to the process or you’re appealing your third claim – you don’t have to tackle this challenge alone. I know how isolating it can feel, but it doesn’t have to be that way.

When you’re ready, our team is here to help you secure the benefits set aside for you. Everyone deserves a trusted place to ask questions, understand their options, and have a dedicated advocate in their corner – guiding them every step of the way. We are committed to that promise.
