Medical Records

Military medical records can be extensive and difficult to understand, becoming increasingly complicated and complex the longer a veteran serves.  This complication often leads to potential service connected disabilities being overlooked and missed out on.  Our Veteran Coaches, which are all disabled veterans themselves, are thoroughly trained in the VA disability system and will conduct a detailed and comprehensive review of every page of your medical records to ensure you are aware of every disability category you may qualify for under the law.  They will also determine if sufficient evidence is present to support a favorable decision from the VA, or if additional medical evidence would be beneficial.

Service Records

Many veterans are unaware that they qualify for certain disability categories presumably just by where they served and when they served.  In fact, there are 23 disability categories containing 330 specific disability conditions that are presumable, most notably the Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act (PACT Act), a law that passed in 2022 that significantly expands benefits for veterans who were exposed to burn pits.  With presumable claims, if you are diagnosed with one of these medical conditions and served in an area of operation during an approved timeframe, the VA assumes or "presumes" the condition was caused by your active duty military service.  You don't have to prove the connection or "nexus" that you have to prove for disability claims not presumable.  Our highly trained Veteran Coaches will conduct a detailed and comprehensive review of all your service records to ensure that you are aware of every disability category you may qualify for under the law, to include all presumable conditions.

Requesting Medical and Service Records

Don't have your medical and/or service records?  Don't know where to start or how to request these records?  Feeling frustrated and lost?  We got you your six!  Your Veteran Coach will show you how to request all of your records from the VA.  The average time it takes to receive your medical and/or service records from the VA after your records request is submitted is 8-12 months, but do not worry, you do not have wait for your medical and/or service records to arrive to apply for VA disability benefits.  While you wait for the VA to send these documents to you, your Veteran Coach will still be able to review your medical and service history verbally with you to ensure you are aware of every disability category you may qualify for under the law.
